Oxford Beautification awards presented

Six residences and three commercial properties were honored last night at the 12th Annual Village of Oxford Beautification Awards Program.
The residents and business owners pictured above were recognized for maintaining, enhancing and beautifying their respective properties, which in turn contributes to improving the village’s overall appearance and aesthetic appeal.
‘Thanks again for making our village a beautiful place,? said Joe Bullen, chairman of the Oxford Beautifcation Commission. The purpose of the awards program is to not only honor individual beautification efforts, but to motivate others to fix up their properties.
‘We like to say that we are encouragers,? said Bullen of the Beautification Commission, which was founded in 1992. ‘We’re here to help and assist.?
Beautification Award winners were nominated by Connie Miller, Terry Frank and Julie Langley.
