A gathering last Thursday at Christi’s Bar & Grill honored JoAnn Van Tassel’s service to the Village of Lake Orion, and raised $865 for the Orion Township Public Library in the process. Van Tassel, pictured with Library Director Linda Sickles, served as village manager for eight years and said she will announce her intention to run for a township office in the near future.
