With a growing community comes one inevitable problem – where to store the growing amounts of ‘stuff.?
People’s garages are full and their cars are parked in driveways. Association rules are becoming increasingly strict about what can and can’t be stored outdoors.
What are people to do?
Fortunately, area residents and businesses can store all their valuable goods at the rapidly expanding Stor-N-Lock in Oxford.
Stor-N-Lock currently offers customers 184 units of indoor storage, ranging in size from 5×10 all the way up to 12×30 – enough to store the contents of a seven-room house.
Manager Darryl Kulkis said the company will be building an additional 64 indoor storage units this spring.
‘We are going to have some larger units geared toward contractors,? said Kulkis. ‘They will include taller, wider doors so businesses can pull their trucks into their unit if needed.?
Stor-N-Lock also offers space to store all those large ‘toys? such as boats and jet skis, motor homes, trailers and business equipment. As a bonus, Stor-N-Lock can also arrange for winterization and spring start-up of boats through Oakland Mobile Marine.
‘We can assist area businesses just as well as the local citizens,? emphasized Kulkis. ‘You don’t have to park your work truck in the neighborhood anymore if the subdivision rules don’t allow it. We have the space you need.?
Stor-N-Lock is protected by a tight-knit security system.
According to Kulkis, the whole area is surrounded by a six-foot fence topped with barbed wire, a 24-hour surveillance system monitors the grounds, a keypad entry guards the gates and each unit has an individual alarm.
Stor-N-Lock can provide locks, boxes and other packing materials to assist in both storage and moving. Insurance is also available to those who need it.
In addition to helping local residents store their goods, Stor-N-Lock can also help them move too.
The company recently became a certified Budget Truck (formerly Ryder) dealership. Customers can contact Stor-N-Lock to reserve a vehicle for moving anything from business equipment to home furnishings.
Further, customers can rent a mover’s dolly and protective blankets to make moving easier and protect their valuables from damage.
Budget Truck is not just for residential moves though.
‘Local businesses can use our trucks with their transportation needs,? said Kulkis. ‘Even if they already own a truck for their business needs, we can fill in for breakdowns, or a periodic surge in trucking needs.?
‘And for frequent business use, we’ll arrange commercial accounts with lower rates.?
Stor-N-Lock’s facilities and offices are located at 140 Tower Drive, just south of Oxford Middle School.
