Independence Township Board will have fewer meetings this year.
Trustee Neil Wallace and Deputy Supervisor Rick Yeager proposed a schedule of two meetings a month. Last year, the board had three meetings a month.
The board will have additional special budget meetings for review of individual department budgets later in the year.
The board voted 6-0, Jan. 4, to approve the new budget schedule. Treasurer Curt Carson was absent.
