No injuries were reported among seven passengers following a three car accident at about 3 p.m. on M-15 at Viola Road on April 17. ‘The reason for the children not being hurt is because they were properly restrained (in car seats),? said Bob McArthur, Brandon Fire chief. Deputy Ken Wakerley of the Brandon Oakland County Sheriff substation said the van carrying the children slowed, or stopped, and was hit from behind by the second vehicle. As a result of that impact, a pickup heading northbound on M-15 also hit the van, sending it off the road. Wakerley said the second vehicle was ticketed for following too close. ‘When you follow too close to anyone, unless you have your foot on the brake, you are going to hit them.?
