Shaw as the new township ordinance officer

The Addison Township board of trustees have appointed Art Shaw as the new township ordinance officer. Shaw is replacing Bill Holloway whose resignation was accepted during the board’s last regular meeting.
Township Supervisor Bob Koski stated at the meeting that Shaw will perform the duties of the position until this fall, when he leaves Addison for the winter. His appointment will give the board ample time to find a permanent replacement for the position.
In addition, the board also made amendments to the township’s ordinance complaint policies and procedures. In the new version, the ordinance officer will now work directly under the direction of the township supervisor and request assistance from the supervisor as needed. Those filing a complaint must provide their name, address and telephone number, and all information will be kept confidential.
Also, in most instances, the ordinance officer will respond within two days of the complaint. The complainant may be contacted for additional information, but may not be contacted at all.
Finally, all reports will be filed on a monthly basis, complaintants can contact the Township for a status report.
