The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint of stalking and violation of a personal protection order on Cardinal Hill on July 9.
According to an OCSD report, a 34-year-old woman said her ex-husband, a 38-year-old Waterford man, had left her numerous message on her answering machine and dropped off letters at her home, despite a personal protection order she has against him.
She said this is the second time this year that the man has violated the order, which was served to him in 2002. In February 2003, the OCSD personally advised the man not to contact the woman again.
The woman said the first time he violated the order was in 2002 when he broke into her home. The second time was when he wrote letters and attempted to call her from the Oakland County Jail. The OCSD contacted the man and informed him that he was in violation of the order.
