Community Development Block Grant contracts for funds in 2003-04 were authorized by the Orion Township Board of Trustees on July 7 for four groups.
The board authorized the supervisor to sign contracts with Orion Area Youth Assistance, Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency (OLHSA), Lighthouse and HAVEN.
Youth Assistance will receive $5,000 for swimming lessons; OLHSA will get $1,000 for Home Chore; Lighthouse of Oakland County will get $1,000 for needy residents; and HAVEN, Inc. will receive $1,000 for battered and abused spouses.
