At the September 4 regular meeting, the Addison Township Board passed a resolution setting the millage rates for the fiscal year.
The township rate was approved for up to 1.41 mills for the general fund. Because of the Headlee Amendment, the township will rollback and levy 1.1132.
For the fire department, 0.75 mills have been approved for capitol expenditures and 2.25 for operating expenses. The total amounts levied will be .6955 for capitol and 1.968 for operational. Due to Truth in Taxation Laws, the township was able to levy the maximum amount for a portion of the operational expenditures.
The township library was set at .75 mills and will be levied at .5922. Finally, a total of 3.5 mills were approved for the police operational budget and the amount will be rolled back to 2.9266.
