It was a bittersweet week for the Lake Orion High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team as they recently split wins with Rochester Adams and Troy.
Against Adams on Oct. 21, Lake Orion fell 60-46 to the Highlanders at Rochester. Lake Orion’s Chelsea Richards was the team’s high scorer with 12, while teammate Lindsey Randazzo pitched in 10.
Katie Campbell had nine points for the Dragons, while Cara Slossan finished with eight. Kristen Bigelow led Adams with 10.
Lake Orion hosted Troy on Oct. 23, and pulled out a 53-51 win in overtime. Randazzo tossed in 15 points, including the game-winning bucket with five seconds left in overtime.
Katie Campbell led the Dragons with 16, while Richards had 11. Stephanie Johnson scored five points for Lake Orion, who finished the week 3-10, 2-6 in OAA I.
The varsity team hosts Waterford Kettering on Oct. 30 and travel to West Bloomfield on Nov. 4.
