Breakfast, drive-up now at new Ortonville Subway Restaurant

Brandon Twp.-About eight years ago
Subway Restaurant first came to town
near Glass Road and M-15.
Today after thousands of ‘made while
you watched submarine sandwiches,? the
local eatery outgrew its old digs, packed
up the bread ovens, all the fresh sub toppings
and set up shop just across the
street.
The new 1,800 square foot Subway
Restaurant which opened on Tuesday is
now kitty-corner to the old store on the
southeast corner of East Glass Road and
M-15. The new location still supplies the
same classic sandwiches, with some
added conveniences.
Matt Barcey, operations manager for
Grand Blanc-based Dortch Enterprises
that owns and operates 38 Subway Restaurants
throughout Genesee and Oakland
counties including the local site, said
of the new restaurant:
‘Business is great here in Ortonville,?
Barcey said. ‘Our new store is larger and
provides a drive-through for our customers?
convenience. Now you don’t have
to get out of your car to enjoy Subway.?
While drive-up customers will not be
able to watch their favorite Subway sandwich
under construction’Barcey said it
should be ready in about 60 seconds and
just the way they ordered it.
‘No need to get out of your car when
it’s raining or if you’re in a hurry. We’ll
have it ready. Customers can even email
their order in to us,? he said. ‘Then it will
be ready to pick up when you arrive.?
Beginning April 5, Subway stores will
open at 7 a.m., just in time for a new breakfast
menu featuring a Western Egg &
Cheese, Black Forest Ham, Egg & Cheese
or Steak, egg and cheese, to name a few.
Minute Maid orange juice or Seattle’s Best
Coffee are also available.
‘The new breakfast sandwiches are
awesome,? he said. ‘It’s a great way to
build a better breakfast each day.?
