Creative masterminds wanted in Goodrich

Goodrich – You love your community. You’re full of ideas. You want to be part of this year’s ‘Good Times in Goodrich.?
You’re on.
This year’s Good Times in Goodrich steering committee has gathered volunteers and ideas for the September 10 and 11 event, but more volunteers’and ideas’are needed.
The community festival, which never became reality last year due to a lack of help, promises tons of fun this year.
Already in the works are events like fun children’s activities, games and inflatable bounce tents, live entertainment, a craft show, a merchant and business display, a 50-50 raffle, and a fund-raiser Fun Run.
Hungry for local eats? On Saturday, the community will gather for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and can sample local restaurant fare at ‘Taste of Goodrich? Sunday afternoon, following a morning community-wide worship service in the park.
Proceeds from the festival will be split between a community project contribution and the chamber of commerce, said the Rev. Karl Zeigler, who is acting as interim committee chairperson.
‘We’d be delighted to have additional persons volunteer,? said Zeigler. ‘We’re looking for team and chairpeople to help decide different aspects of the event.?
Volunteers are welcome to attend the next Good Times in Goodrich committee meeting at 8 a.m. April 5 at the Goodrich Lions Club hall, located at 9196 S. State Road in Atlas Township.
