Ann Arbor — At noon, Aug. 25, the Goodrich Martians Varsity Football team will open the 2023 season against the Frankenmuth Eagles at Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor.
It’s the first trip to ever to the Big House for the Martians. The 2022 season ended for Goodrich on the big stage at Ford Field with a 28-0 loss to the Grand Rapids South Sailors in the state finals.
Frankenmuth lost to Gladwin 10-7 in the Division 5 finals. On Aug. 25, 2022, the Eagles defeated the Martians 27-2 in the season opener.
