OMS basketball finishes season

This year the Oxford Middle School girls basketball teams had a great season. Their coaches, Tim Collins and Tom Wagner, lead the two teams through a fabulous season.
Even though the girls had new coaches they did an exceptional job.
It was Collins? first year coaching for the seventh grade basketball team, and everyone thought he did an awesome job.
Coach Collins would always mention how different they were compared to the boys, but that’s what made them so good, each having an important role in the games.
The seventh grade girls completed their season with 10 wins and only two losses.
The eighth grade team, coached by Wagner, did an incredible job playing against all the other talented teams. Each and every girl had a time to shine, whether it was just one game or all of them.
There may have been a few more losses, but they always put forth their best effort.
Even though it is the off-season, the girls are still playing basketball. The sixth grade (Oxford Storm), the seventh grade (Oxford Lightning) and the eighth grade (Oxford Thunder) all play at the Cage Sports CEnter in Swartz Creek.
The season has just begun, but so far it is off to a great start. The coaches Mike Harrison, Mike Neff, Michelle Davis and Brian Murphy have been working with the girls to help them become better individual players, along with becoming a better team.
Hopefully, all of this hard work will improve the girls? skills even more, so they can be even better next year.
