A total of 12 applications were received to replace a vacated seat on the Atlas Township Board.
The deadline for filing an application to fill the trustee seat vacated by Scott Statson, who resigned earlier this year, was 4 p.m., March 8. Those interested must be a resident of the township, be able to attend regular meetings and participate in a variety of special meetings.The pay is $5,618.04 per year.
The term will be for the remainder of Statson’s term, which runs until November 2012. The resumes will be reviewed at 6 p.m., March 15 at the Atlas Township offices, 7386 Gale Road. A decision by the township board of trustees is expected at the March 21 meeting.
