Oxford then and now

Someone shrunk many well-known Oxford landmarks and placed them inside Lakeville Elementary’s media center Friday.
No, it wasn’t a mad scientist with a shrinking ray and a grudge against our fair town.
Second-graders in teacher Judy Bozynski’s social studies classes created detailed models representing various historic and new Oxford buildings
Included with the models were mini-reports stating what the building is used for now, what it housed in the past, short histories of the structures and other interesting details.
‘In second grade our focus in social studies is community,? Bozynski said. ‘We’ve studied Oxford in the present and Oxford in the past. So, this project tries to blend the two together. It gives them a sense of what’s in Oxford and a history of it.?
