Three suspected in series of home invasions

Sgt. David Dwyre of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department said two juveniles, both 14-years-old and students in the Goodrich School Disrtict, along with a 19-year-old Goodrich man, were arrested last month, suspected in a series of home invasions along Hegel Road in Goodrich.
Acting on a tip from area law enforcement, Dwyre said the suspects allegedly entered homes and vehicles of residents during the day, removing a variety of items including guns.
‘They would go in through windows or unlocked doors,? said Dwyre.
The crimes occured between August and October. None of the suspects had prior convictions and many of the items were pawned soon after the thefts he said.
Al McKnight-Cox, is expected to be charged with first degree home invasion, a 20-year felony. The two juveniles from Goodrich and Grand Blanc Township are expected to be charged with second-degree home invasion, a 15-year felony.
‘They are all out of jail right now and will have to respond to the warrants,? he said.
Dwyre said there were about 10 break-ins.
‘The suspects would just walk into homes and help themselves when residents were at work during the day.?
