Citizens interested in holding gatherings in Independence Township Hall will be able to do so now that the Township board has developed a utilization policy.
The main hall, which holds 140 people and a conference room, which fits 12 can now be rented for free to Independence citizens.
The township Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, a trustee, or a department head must sponsor the event.
Space can only be reserved for functions taking place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
