Brandon Twp.-Work began earlier this month on a new branch of Genisys Credit Union.
Tom Alter, chief marketing officer for Genisys Credit Union said construction of a 3,200 square feet facility on about two acres near the intersection of M-15 and the entrance to Brandon High School should be completed in September 2017. The branch will include three drive-up windows, an ATM and full service tellers inside.
“We’ve grown our membership to the point where it’s time to move to a larger facility,” said Alter. “We believe in serving people face-to-face while also providing internet and mobile access. We are committed to the community and are eager to open our new location.”
Genisys Credit Union first opened the Oakwood Plaza, 250 Ortonville Road in Groveland Township in 2005. GCU currently has assets of $2.1 billion and operates 28 branches serving 180,000 members.
