Long-time council member Douglas Dendel led eight candidates in Monday’s Village of Lake Orion general election.
The other three incumbents, Ken Van Portfliet, Bob Hollenbeck and Tom Albert, are all returning to office.
Unofficially, Dendel garnered 174 votes, Van Portfilet, 169, Hollenbeck, 132 and Albert 131.
Other candidates earning votes were Patricia Kartje with 126, Mark Brancheau with 113, Lisa Simpkins with 104 and Jeff Waldecker with 82.
The top three vote-getters will serve on the council for two years. The fourth highest serves for one year.
Fourteen percent of the registered voters in the village went to the polls.
