It’s not a secret anymore

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded on March 18 to a 35-year-old woman on Chamberlain Street was contacted by the Roseville Police Department because a man they had in custody had her personal information.
She said a detective with the Roseville P.D. told her they had a 30-year-old Detroit man in their custody who possessed her personal information, including her complete address and bank/debit card information.
OCSD contacted the Roseville P.D. and were told the same. According to a detective there, the man in their custody was being held for several charges, including identity theft. He said they also had several other subjects in custody who had different people’s driver’s licenses, with personal information written down about each person.
The Lake Orion woman said she had received a call from her bank regarding a few of her personal checks bouncing.
