Six vehicles collided with each other like a chain of dominos near the interection of Bay Pointe Drive and Lakeville Road Friday night.
Amazingly, no injuries were reported. The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. and involved a line-up of vehicles travelling west on Lakeville Rd.
According to the Oxford Village Police report, an unknown westbound vehicle on Lakeville Road caused a back-up while attempting to turn left onto Bay Pointe Drive.
The 16-year-old male driver of Vehicle 1 was ‘slowing? for a Pontiac Firebird in front of him when it was struck in the rear by Vehicle 2, the report stated.
The 18-year-old Ortonville male driver of Vehicle 2 told police he was ‘unable to stop? and struck Vehicle 1.
The 17-year-old Oxford male driver of Vehicle 3 stated Vehicle 4 struck him in the rear, causing him to rear-end Vehicle 2, according to the police report.
The 16-year-old Oxford male driver of Vehicle 4 told police Vehicle 5 struck him in the rear, causing Vehicle 4 to rear-end Vehicle 3.
The 18-year-old Oxford male driver of Vehicle 5 told police he ‘slowed, slid and struck? Vehicle 4 from behind, at which time Vehicle 6 rear-ended Vehicle 5.
The 36-year-old Oxford male driver of Vehicle 6 stated an unknown vehicle, which left the scene, rear-ended him, causing him to collide with Vehicle 5, the report stated.
The officer noted there was damage to both the front and rear of Vehicle 6.
A Preliminary Breath Test was administered to the driver of Vehicle 6. The result was a .033 percent Blood Alcohol Content, which is well below the legal limit of .08 percent.
No citations were issued, according to the police report.
