The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a larceny at New Beginnings Baptist Church on Lapeer Road on June 17.
According to an OCSD report, Pastor Kenneth Sharp of New Beginnings told a deputy that two speakers, a guitar and a soundboard were stolen from the church’s chapel area. He said the last time he saw the equipment was May 16, and he noticed the guitar was missing on May 23.
Pastor Sharp noticed the speakers missing a couple of days later, and that the soundboard was also missing a couple of days after that. He said he did not call the OCSD right away because it was not an emergency, but that he needed a police report for the insurance company.
Pastor Sharp did not know who could have taken the equipment.
