An Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputy was the witness to a road rage assault on Aug. 23 at the intersection of Joslyn Road and Flintridge.
According to an OCSD report, the deputy was entering his vehicle, parked in front of Carpenter Elementary School, when he heard two vehicles lock brakes.
The deputy saw two vehicles stopped at the intersection, and the driver of the first vehicle, a 35-year-old Silver Maple Lane woman, get out of her vehicle and go to talk to the driver of the other vehicle, a 29-year-old Gemini Drive woman.
The deputy saw the first woman strike the driver of the other vehicle, still seated inside. He said the woman ran back to her car, moved it tothe lot at a nearby church, and assaulted the other driver again, grabbing inside the vehicle at the other woman’s upper body area.
The 35-year-old woman admitted to hitting the other driver and was arrested for road rage resulting in an injury, aggravated assault and interfering with the use of the 911 system.
