Because of all the new playground equipment installed in village parks, Lake Orion Council members recently agreed the equipment needs to be maintained on a regular basis.
The equipment will be inspected in April and October. The inspection will include making sure all of the bolts and connections are tight, repaint areas where paint has chipped, make sure all surfaces are smooth and safe and check the ‘spring? for cracks and/or stress points.
Any safety material around the play equipment, including the swings, will be inspected every month. The material will be raked and/or added to as needed to provide the required cushioning under the equipment.
