Money not for real

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of trespassing on Eagle Vista on Oct. 27, which led to the discovery of a man with counterfeit bills at a home on Cardinal Hill.
According to an OCSD report, deputies were called to the mobile home park on Brown Road because people were trespassing in a home.
The suspects fled the scene, and while conducting an area search, deputies discovered a 31-year-old Pontiac man who they said was suspected of dealing drugs.
The man was found at a home on Cardinal Hill, and had two large ‘wads? of cash in each of his pants pockets. When the deputy took the money, the man told him it was ‘fake counterfeit money? he got in Florida and was bringing to his aunt as a souvenir.
The deputies counted $1,720 in counterfeit bills. The man was arrested for counterfeit currency and lodged in the Oakland County Jail.
