The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a bomb threat at Kay Automotive Graphics on Kay Industrial Drive off of M-24 on Dec. 21.
According to an OCSD report, an employee said a man called and said there was a bomb in the building, then hung up.
Employees were removed from the building, and vehicles were moved to a safe area. Kay Industrial was shut down to Lapeer Road.
A K-9 deputy and his bomb dog cleared the building, finding no explosives.
A phone number from the bomb threat was obtained from caller ID, and was traced to a pay phone in Pontiac.
