Brandon Twp.? The township board approved the following purchases for the Brandon Fire Department:
? A Chevy Tahoe will be purchased from Simms Chevrolet for $42,900 with previously approved funds.
‘Equipment to outfit a current Expedition vehicle will also be purchased, for $3,895. The new equipment provides for advanced life support equipment as well as security for a drug box. This will allow the shift commander to respond to all calls with the vehicle and while the vehicle cannot transport, treatment can be provided at the scene until a transport unit arrives.
‘The board also approved the hiring of two new paid call hires and a change in discipline policy, allowing employee driving records to be checked. Immediate notification from the Secretary of State will occur if any fire department personnel should have their driver’s license suspended, in which case termination would be likely.
