Groveland girl remembered

Known to her friends as ‘Tex? or ‘J.C.?, Amanda Turner died Feb. 8.
She was 19.
Amanda was born in Frankfurt, Germany Feb. 5, 1986. Amanda was a senior at Holly High School, where she was a light and sound technician with the drama club. She also attended Shoemaker High School, Killeen, Texas where she was involved with Junior ROTC and the honor guard. Surviving are mother, Kris (Kevin) Weber of Holly; father, A.J. (Pam) Turner with the U.S. Army; brothers, Arron Turner of Holly and Jeffrey Turner of Germany; sisters, Megan Cross of Ortonville, Belle and Alex Turner of Texas and Michelle Parker of Texas; grandparents, Sam and Linda Cross of Holly, Pat and Linda Rademacher of Fenton, A.J. and Lois Turner of Gladwin; uncles, Kirk Cross of Holly, Kevin Cross of Ortonville and Gary Turner of Davisburg. Memorial donations will be to the Groveland Township Fire Department. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Feb. 12, at the Dryer Furneral Home, Holly. Pastor Darrell Smith officiated. Burial was in the Hadley Cemetery, Holly.
