Orion Pointe hearing on March 14

A hearing to hear input from the public on a proposed Planned Unit Development in the M-24/Pelton’s Pointe area has been scheduled for March 14.
Lake Orion Village Council members, by a 4-2 vote on Feb. 28, agreed to the date after posponing any decision at their Feb. 14 meeting.
Councilmen Douglas Dendel and Tom Albert voted no. ‘I don’t see how we can have a public hearing without all the (easement) information,? Dendel said.
‘The man (the developer) is allowed his public hearing. State statute gives him a meeting. Administration could have set a public hearing,? council president Bill Siver said.
Village attorney Gary Dovre agreed. He told council members it’s not a requirement of the PUD that council approve a hearing date.
‘I will advise the clerk to set the date for March 14,? he added.
The proposed development includes residential units and a medical/professional office building.
