A new safety path on the west side of Orion Road, from Atwater to Corners Court will be constructed.
Orion Township Parks and Recreation Director Rock Blanchard said the path would give a highly traveled road a safe place for pedestrians, and that funds were in the 2005 budget for the estimated $41,000 project.
