April Heier is the new recreation programmer for Orion Township.
Heier’s hiring was approved by the township board on April 18, to fill a vacant position with the parks and recreation department. She will be full-time, working 40 hours a week, at $12.08 per hour, $25,118 annually.
Heier will have benefits when hired, effective April 25, upon satisfactory background check, physical examination and drug screening test.
Parks and recreation director Rock Blanchard said Heier will mainly be stationed at the building in Friendship Park, at Clarkston/Baldwin Roads.
She is a graduate of Central Michigan University and formerly worked for Farmington Hills, coordinating recreation programs.
