OMS students clean up for Earth Day

Friday, April 22 was the 35th anniversary of Earth Day.
Although some of us probably forgot about the eco-holiday, students at Oxford Middle School stepped up to the plate and took out the trash ? literally.
With trash bags and rubber gloves in hand, Libby Dolsen and Todd Bidlack’s sixth-grade classes spent the afternoon doing their part to make the planet a cleaner place by picking up litter along Lakeville Road and the Polly Ann Trail.
‘We care because we don’t want our earth polluted,? said student Abbey Dattolo as she picked up trash.
‘Earth Day is important because we get to keep the Earth clean so we can live longer,? said student Sam Harris.
Good job kids.
