Freshman softball team has 15-2 record

The Lake Orion High School freshman softball team has an 11-1 record, after their first losing game of the season against Clarkston last week, 7-4.
The team finished second in a tournament in Hartland on May 7, playing Howell for the championship and losing 4-2.
Earlier in the season, the team wong games over Rochester (16-3), Oxford (17-2 and 18-2 doubleheader), Clarkston (7-1), Troy (12-2), and Waterford Kettering (18-2).
They also defeated West Bloomfield (12-3), Rochester Adams (15-0), Waterford Mott (16-6), Troy Athens (5-3), and Rochester again (12-2).
The team is coached by Dave Wilson, who said ‘this is a great group of girls that have practiced and played very hard this season.?
‘I am very proud of their effort and the commitment that each and every one of them have given me,? said Wilson.
‘They truly want to get better, and they work hard in practice to try to improve their game.?
