Kacey Cookingham was honored last week as the McDonald’s/Channel 7 High School Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Cookingham, a 2005 Oxford High graduate, was introduced on Channel 7 WXYZ-TV during Saturday’s 11 p.m. Action News and interviewed by Sportscaster Don Shane on Sports Update 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
During her sports career at OHS, Cookingham earned five varsity letters in three sports ? soccer, basketball and track.
On June 5, she graduated seventh out of 264 with a grade point average of 3.97.
Cookingham plans to attend Central Michigan University where she will study secondary mathematic education and outdoor recreation or coaching.
