Orion Township Parks and Recreation will be contracting with Frank’s Lawn & Repair Service for this year’s mowing season.
The board of trustees voted to accept the cancellation of the mowing contract with A-1 Turf Plus, after hearing a request from parks and recreation director Rock Blanchard at the Aug. 15 meeting.
Blanchard said A-1 was to have been contracted through Nov. 30, but would not be able to continue the contract after Aug. 24, due to the death of Kevin Spencer.
Frank’s will complete mowing for the length of this year’s contract.
