The Lake Orion is sponsoring a Lighted Boat Parade on Oct. 1 beginning at dusk at the boat club.
This event is in partnership with the Orion Area Parade Group. They will be hosting a fundraiser dinner featuring German food at the boat club beginning at 4 p.m.
Boats will line up at the boat club.
Awards will be presented for best theme, best overall decorations, Commodore’s Award and best decorations by a Youth Group or Youth Individual under 18.
No jet skis please and entries must be under their own power. Towed entries accepted only if they provide a tow boat. Invertors for electricity can be obtained at Vette Products (248-693-1907).

The cost for Octoberfest is $15/adults, $5/children under 12. Water taxis to the boat club island are available from Snug Harbor.
The dinner includes bratwurst, hotdogs, sauerkraut, fixens, potato salad and dessert. Bring your own beverage. Entertainment will be provided by a live German band.

All proceeds go to the OAPG, presenters of the Orion Area Lighted Holiday Parade on Dec. 3.
