The Orion Township Board of Trustees has approved the process of offering charge account payments beginning, with the July 2006 tax bills.
The Board originally approved the agreement at their Nov. 7 meeting, and received a contract for signature from the third party they will utilize, Official Payments Corporation, at the April 3 meeting.
OPC recently signed a similar agreement with the Village of Lake Orion.
‘I think this is a great service for the residents, and that’s why my staff researched it,? said Orion Township Treasurer Alice Young.
The Township Attorney will review the contract before it becomes official.
