41,500 deal inked for Hot Blues & BBQ radio spots

Hot Blues and BBQ will be hitting the airwaves at the end of May.
The Oxford Village Council voted unanimously to approve a $1,500 contract with U.S. 103.1, the Burton-based FM classic rock station, for 65 one-minute commericials promoting the June 23-25 blues festival at Centennial and Scripter parks.
The commericals will begin airing May 29 and run over a four-week period.
As part of the commercial package, U.S. 103.1 will conduct a live remote two-hour broadcast during Hot Blues and BBQ, do 45 on-air promotional mentions for the event and do four live one-minute commercials.
U.S. 103.1’s Carl Coffey will do an on-air interview with festival coordinator Steve Allen promoting Hot Blues & BBQ during his show ‘Coffey in the Morning.? The Hot Blues and BBQ budget includes a total of $5,000 for advertising.
