Waldon Middle School is Lake Orion’s latest Blue Ribbon school.
Lake Orion Schools Superintendent Chris Lehman announced at the April 26 school board meeting that Waldon had been chosen a Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School.
Scripps Middle School was named a Blue Ribbon school in 2004, and Lehman said Oakview is still too new to apply for the award.
A celebration at Waldon Middle School is being planned for the near future.
