The Road Commission for Oakland County is currently working on three projects in Orion Township, two to be completed this month, and one in Aug.
Squirrel Road from Dutton to Silverbell will be closed through Aug. 1 so a developer can pave the gravel road in conjunction with a subdivision going in along that road. The detour is Dutton to Adams, to Silverbell and back to Squirrel, and vice versa.
The RCOC has resumed work on Dutton/Brown Road at M-24, to connect Dutton and Brown. Work on this project started last year, and is scheduled to be completed by May 31. The project involves completing an eastbound right-turn lane on Brown at Dutton.
There will be intermittent lane closures on M-24 at the intersection, between 9 a.m.-3 p.m on weekdays.
Finally, Maybee Road, from Baldwin and Ashley Street (east of Baldwin), will be closed on May 19 so the RCOC can replace a culvert under the road. The detour is Baldwin to Waldon, to Joslyn, To Flintridge, to Maybee, and vice versa.
