Downtown Oxford’s Centennial Park was filled Saturday with kids who have better things to do than get high or drunk.
‘My anti-drug is working on cars,? said Caleb Flewwelling. ‘I have a ?79 El Camino that I love working on.?
As part of a drug awareness event sponsored by Oxford-Addison Youth Assistance and organized by Oxford resident Elaine Hanes, the kids posed as ‘live mannequins? showing off their ‘anti-drugs,? which were described as anything that keeps them occupied and drug-free.
Anti-drugs ranged from sports and hobbies to friends and future careers.
Approximately 40 kids swore an oath in the park and signed certificates, both pledging to live a drug-free lifestyle.
