The Lake Orion School Board voted Aug. 9 to accept bid recommendations from Barton Malow, for the renovation of the Administration Building at 315 N. Lapeer Street.
Qualified low bidders that are to be awarded contracts are: Simone Contracting for sitework, $287,000; Norstar Construction for general trades, $293,300; Height Heating & Cooling for mechanical, $46,000; Sky Electric, Inc. for electrical, $50,416; and Thalner Electronic Labs for audio/visual, $72,963.
The total contract award is $749,679, and the orginial budget for the renovation project was $750,000.
Bid package work is scheduled to begin mid-September, and should be substantially complete by the end of November.
