The Lake Orion U8 squad put up some unbelievable numbers in winning three tournaments this summer in Brown City, Millington and North Branch.
Mike Falter hit eight home runs in the three tournaments, while Tyler Hodak added seven and a team leading 0.833 batting average.
The team as a whole hit at a remarkable 0.742 clip through the three tournaments, scoring double-digits in each of the 16 contests and an average of nearly 18 runs per ballgame.
The U8 squad trailed only once, 2-1 after the first inning versus Almont in the Millington Tournament championship game. They went on to win that contest 23-8.
In only one of their 16 games did the team fail to win by a double-digit margin, that being the final championship against Brown City at North Branch, in which they still won by eight runs, 13-5.
The squad scored in the 20s on six different occasions and had three shutouts as well.
