Help a Boy Scout: Eat at Red Knapp’s

Ten percent of the cost of all dinners served at Red Knapp’s American Grill in Oxford on Sept. 13 will be contributed to Tom Butler, Jr.,a Boy Scout working on his community service project.
Butler must carry out the project in order to attain the Eagle Scout rank.
His project consists of designing and building a new entrance way into St. Augustine’s, a Lutheran Monastery on E. Drahner Road, near Oxford.
The funds raised at Red Knapp’s will be used to purchase the stone for decorative walls and landscaping materials for the new entrance way.
Red Knapp’s is located in downtown Oxford, at the corner of Burdick and M-24 (Lapeer Road).
Orion Stone Depot will be providing all the stone and building materials at their actual cost, to help with the project.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is also contributing to the project.
Members of Boy Scout Troop 336 will assist Butler with the construction of the new entranceway.
Troop 336 is sponsored by the King of Kings Lutheran Church in Lake Orion.
St. Augustine’s is the only Lutheran Monastery in the United States.
