Lake level reduced by mid-November

Notice is being given to residents that the level of Lake Orion will slowly be lowered about one foot to reach the normal low water mark for winter.
Residents living on the lake are advised to remove watercraft.
The lowering will not flood Paint Creek and is expected to be completed by the third Friday in November (Nov. 17).
The upcoming lowering should not be confused with the ‘drawdown? of the lake which takes place every five years for the purpose of making dock and seawall repairs.
