Lake Orion High School was on lockdown for a short time on Friday morning, though things were back to normal shortly after noon.
‘High school administration became aware of a threat to a student through instant messaging,? said Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Ken Gutman.
Gutman noted that the lockdown was simply a precautionary measure and teachers continued with regular activities during the lockdown.
Authorities believe the threat came to a student from someone not associated with the school, but that is still under investigation at this time.
Events scheduled for Friday night at LOHS are to continue as planned and students finished out the day as they normally would.
