Alta D. Holser, of Atlas, died Feb. 26 at American House in Grand Blanc.
She was 79.
Alta was born Oct. 11, 1927 in Flint, the daughter of Francis and Helen (Groh) Valley. She married John M. Holser on Jan. 19, 1964.
Alta was employed at AC Sparkplug. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, canning and baking.
She is survived by children Tom Holser of Davison, Wayne (Joyce) Deal of Byron, Suzan (Dick) Dexter of North Carolina, Jim Deal of Atlas, and Tim (Brenda) Holser of Grand Blanc; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Shirley (George) Funch of Fenton; Eileen (Carl) Theodore of Fenton; Donald (Theresa) Valley of Flint; and Dennis (Mary Ann) Valley of Goodrich.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Terry Floyd.
A funeral service was planned for Feb. 28 at the Brown Funeral Home in Grand Blanc. Memorials may be made to the American House.
