The Lake Orion School Board approved 16 staff reductions at their meeting last week for the 2007-2008 school year. These cuts include both certified and non-certified staff members.
?(These are) outstanding staff members who are very good at what they do and serve our kids well,? Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Ken Gutman said. ‘This is not something we want to do.?
Gutman said the reasons for these cuts are state funding reductions and enrollment stabilization.
