Pitching, hitting & running to glory

The first annual Dragon GAP Pitch, Hit & Run competition was held last Sunday at the Lake Orion High School varsity baseball field.
Pitch, Hit & Run is a baseball skills competition, co-sponsored by Pepsi and Major League Baseball, that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting, and running with scores determined by individual performance in each skills event.
Results from the competition are broken down into two divisions:
7/8-year-old Division:
All-Around Champion – Alexander Kuster
Pitching Champion – Kuster
Hitting Champion – Kuster
Running Champion – Kuster
9/10-year-old Division:
All-Around Champion – Tyler Hodak
Second place – Camren Tatseos
Third place – Nathan Stirnemann
Pitching Champion = Hodak
Hitting Champion = Hodak
Running Champion= Tatseos
11/12-year-old Division:
All-Around Champion – Roman Kuster
Second place – Nick Deeg
Third place – James Bonnici
Pitching Champion – Kuster, Deeg and Bonnici (tie)
Hitting Champion – Kuster
Running Champion – Kuster
The individual pitching, hitting, and running champions, along with the all-around champion in each age group advance to the sectional competition held Saturday, May 12 in Brandon Township.
Sectional all-around champions become eligible to qualify for the team championship, to be held at Comerica Park on June 9.
